I went here for the first time when Keystone closed during Covid-19. I have to say I should've went to Ski Apache. This mountain is not groomed and it felt like I was riding at some mid atlantic resort after an ice storm. My biggest complaint is that the lifts are insanely outdated and sort of just whip around without slowing down at the bottom and the top. 1/10 would not recommend going to this resort.... Had a great time. Really like the terrain and the Mountain layout. Great price super nice people, staff included. That being said mechanical lift issues(2 lifts closed) drastically reduce the amount of runs. As an older skier with 50 plus year old knees I would have liked to see more groomed runs even though it was a couple days after the storm. I will definitely be back for another visit.... This is a great area that is yet undiscovered by most of the "Outside World". The snow can be fickle (as in all of NM) and a lack of consistent water supply hampers snowmaking. Otherwise the terrain here is mostly steep with a consistent top to bottom fall line. Next to Taos, this is by far the best terrain in the state of New Mexico. There are generally few other skiers and the mountain is a blast! Not much true beginner terrain here.... Vollständige Bewertung

Like most ski resorts in NM, this is a great little area when it has snow. Best for intermediate to advanced skiers, the whole mountain is at a fairly steep angle so there are only a few greens runs that go sideways down roads. This is one of the "warm" ski areas, along with Sandia, Sipapu, and Red River, it is low altitude and best in the middle of winter and early spring. Snow can be thin early season and late season. When they do get powder, they can get a lot of it and it is really good. There are a few double-blacks, but they are not that steep and would be single-blacks at other places like Santa Fe or Taos. Do not ski the trees here, they do not clean the forest and the snow is not deep enough to make it safe.... Vollständige Bewertung

Went to Pajarito on MKL weekend 1/15/17. Of their 5 lifts, they had their bunny lift and one other lift running, due to, i can only assume, mechanical failures. What a terrible resort that they can only have 2 of 5 lifts working when they have plenty of base and snow. I asked the lift operator if there were any other lifts running, his response was, "I don't know, why don't you go find out". A seriously bad resort. I went to this resort last year and sat on a broken lift for almost 4 hours. Don't think I'll ever go again.... Vollständige Bewertung
