Großartige Langlaufmöglichkeiten und alpines Skifahren in Raudalen. Außerdem besteht die Möglichkeit, in Jotunheimen im freien Gelände zu fahren und direkt vom Dorf aus Skitouren zu nahegelegenen Gipfeln zu unternehmen – einzigartig.

Nach einem Aufenthalt in Großbritannien sind wir wieder zurück in Beitostolen. Ein fantastisches Familienresort, ideal für Kinder und Anfänger. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und spricht Englisch. Die Skischule ist klein und überschaubar. Es gibt kaum Wartezeiten an den Pisten, die hervorragend präpariert sind. Man kann direkt von Gjestegaarden aus auf die Piste gelangen – nur 2 Minuten Fußweg. Hochwertige Leihski und -schuhe sind vorhanden. Nach dem Skifahren gibt es viele tolle Aktivitäten wie Husky-Schlittenfahrten, Langlauf, Reiten und Tubing. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

Hervorragende Langlaufloipen mit effizienter Präparierung, die auf der Website von Skioret eingesehen werden kann. Die Loipen sind anspruchsvoll, mit häufigen Neustarts und deutlichen Buckeln. Gute Höhenunterschiede, wenige flache Abschnitte. Das Gebiet ist weitläufig, aber es ist schwierig, die üblichen Rundkurse zu verlassen, da Ausflüge in Richtung Yddin oder gar Rogne eine sehr gute Kondition erfordern.

Vi har været her i uge 1. Hele tiden problemer med lifterne, og lukkede lifter. Selvom lifterne skulle være åbent 10-15:30 åbnede de typisk først kl 10:15 el. senere. Der er eksempelvis ikke puder langs stolperne ved tallerkenliftene, og flere af lifterne drypper olie. Ok hvis man er helt begynder men ikke noget at råbe hurra over. Det skal desuden bemærkes at stoleliften ved “Raudalen” er lukket.

En mysig by som jag besökt sedan mitten på 70-talet åtskilliga gånger. Det har byggts många nya bäddar, men det ynkligt lilla lift systemet är i stort sätt oförändrat, här behövs satsas stort om ortens populäritet skall fortsätta.

We (mum,dad and two teenage boys) first went to Beitostolen in January 2016 then feb 2017 skiing and also in the summer of 2017. The town is stunning in winter and summer with excellent restaurants, cafes, super markets. We have stayed in the the bergo cabins and the hovis and found them excellent you can also go swimming in the Radisson blu hotel. The locals are helpful and friendly. The skiing is lovely with good slopes, plenty of snow and there is no queuing at the lifts.
Beito-aktiv have great activities to pick from and I would highly recommend. We are heading back in feb 2018 and so far they have had plenty of snow. If you want to get a good idea of the slopes and resort check out the Twoplustwocrew on youtube its worth a view and helped us choose the resort.

We stayed over the Christmas break at the Radisson blu in Beitostolen. Second time we have visited this resort, we came back because we loved the family friendly feel of this resort. Lots to do as well as skiing for that complete winter holiday, we enjoyed ice fishing an evening meal fireside in a Tepee, airboarding (sliding down the slopes on a inflatable board). The centre of the resort is compact and our hotel was under 100m to the lifts and shops. By the second day our kids 10 & 13 were out skiing by themselves (most of the ruins end up straight outside the hotel) We were half board and the food was excellent, it was a set menu and there was a kids option. If your after 100s of miles of hard core runs and thumping discos this isn't the place for you. But if you have a family learning to ski or just wanting a winter experience think you will like this place. The runs are not miles and miles long but on the other hand we didn't have to stand in lines at all! There are red & black runs as well as some off piste through the trees stuff at nearby Raudalen free bus over and lift pass same as Beitostolen side) We made loads of vlogs if you would like to see what it's like google twoplustwocrew Beitostolen.
