Best kept secret in the North East. Great terrain paired with great prices and no crowd makes for an unbeatable combo.
Great terrain for all skill levels

We are a family of intermediate skiers, and we loved this resort more than any other in Eastern Townships, despite it is the farthest one from Montreal (or Toronto). The views are breathtaking, the trails are entertaining, food in the restaurant is delicious, and the resort is not crowded (think of going there on a weekend). For a skier, this mountain is, in a way, a "hidden gem" in the Northern Appalachians, must-visit at least once. The trails are steep: consider skiing here a good workout. We would highly recommend it to intermediate and experienced skiers, although the resort also has a small area for beginners.
awesome views of the river-like lake
no "green" trail from the very top

Came over on the heels of the mid-March Nor'easter that hit New England and the Maritimes. We skied Owl's Nest on our second day, and the conditions were perfect. Everything was open, amazing glades, high-pitched steeps, and delicious cruisers. The high-speed quad allowed access to challenging terrain and Owl's head doesn't prevaricate when they rate a trail, no grading inflation. The black diamonds were REALLY black diamonds. The Blues were really blues. We found this ski area to be a perfect place for a family. The cafeteria is well suited and has some very good dishes. Lots of room downstairs to change and store belongings. Outstanding views from the terrace overlooking the slopes. And the mountain Our concerns were first, the lack of signage, especially at the intersection of blacks and double blacks where someone could make a serious mistake. Second, there were no large map displays at top of lifts except in one lift serving blues and greens. And the guest services desk had no maps, just Xerox copies of their website map that was hardly readable. Lastly, neither the ski shop nor the guest service had any type of sourvenirs, stickers etc. With such an outstanding mountain, they're losing valuable profits..... Overall, worth a trip from the States, and when combined with the other three resorts in the Eastern Townships and the amazing town of Magog, full of life, restaurants and one superb microbrewery, this area merits an entire vacation.
Challenging mountain, friendly, great snow, SPECTACULAR views
Lack of signage, no souvenir shop

Decided after 24 years living in northern Vermont and skiing Stowe, Smuggs and Jay all the time to cross the boarder and check out Owl's Head. It was only a 15-20 minute drive past Jay and the boarder crossing at North Troy was very quick and easy. I found Owl's Head to be a real hidden gem. The views are amazing. The mountain has good vertical 1770', and little to no runout on it's trails. Challenging intermediate and experts terrain with excellent grooming. A bit on the ferm/icy side the day I was there, but so is everywhere in Vermont with lack of fresh snow resently. Apears to be a lot of good glades and woods skiing available with some fresh snow. Best of all is the price. Liftopia.com has a $25 CND ticket good on Tuesday and Wednesday that's $19 USD! No crowds on a Tuesday and nice employees. I am looking forward to coming back again soon.
Good vertical, lots of glades, super cheap in USD
Not all lifts working

Make sure the chairlifts are all open before spending 2 hours on the road to go to this mountain !!!! On March 2 as well as the previous weekend, only 1 chairlift out of the 6 advertised was working. The 5 other chairlifts were broken. ! No compensation offered. GENERALLY SPEAKING, EXPECT TO HAVE ACCESS TO ABOUT HALF OF THE TRAILS AND 1/3 OF THE CHAIR LIFTS VERSUS WHAT IS ADVERTISED ON THE MOUNTAIN'S WEBSITE. The season pass holders are very disappointed of the season: 2 major chairlifts not operational during the entire winter because the new owners didn't think about testing them back in May 2018 when they bought the mountain they only tested the chairlifts in December - pure amateurism ... , access to the ski lockers has been delayed. Some season pass holders are talking about a class action.
Nice mountain
Half the trails and 1/3 of the chairlifts open

Uniquely situated on a lake, amazing views similar to Le Massif. Been there a few times this year, definitely going to keep going. Looking forward to seeing the development with the investment they are putting in.
Amazing views, newly renovated chalet, good price

One of my favorite mountains in the entire province of Quebec. The views are breathtaking, the tickets are very affordable and there's never a crowd. The downside of no crowd is an under developed mountain with so much potential. Owl's head could be right up there with Mont Tremblant as one the prime ski destinations in Quebec and with millions of dollars going into the mountain over the next few years, we might get there.
Incredible views, affordable tickets and no crowd
Not very developed
