I wanted to take the family skiing, kids for the first time, and didn't want to break the bank. They fit that need perfectly. My 3 kids got a private 2hr lesson, while my wife and I reacquainted ourselves with sliding downhill on skis. Our children had a good time with Mike their instructor and they developed a good foundation for skiing. We had a really good time, on the plus side, Bear Creek is a year round resort with a spa, fitness, multiple pools and multiple places to eat right there, seating was limited do to the season of the "rona" (covid). The resort rooms were spacious and clean. We liked it so much that we have already returned, and next ski season we are already planning to return so my son and I can learn snowboarding.... The great thing about Bear Creek is its proximity. It has a beautiful facility and the employees are extremely friendly and helpful. It is a terrific place to learn to ski and a great place to hone your skills. I've skied all my life and I always enjoy coming back to Bear Creek. They do a great job with their grooming and facilities are first rate. I taught my wife/children to ski here when it was Doe Mt, now I'm bringing my grandchildren. They had their first experience last weekend, they loved it! Can't go wrong with Bear Creek.TWF ... Thanks Bear Creek--first time in three years and had a fantastic time, as before, 'riding the brakes' from the top. A beautiful day and this out-of-shape intermediate def. enjoyed the lack of hotshots closing in on me from behind! So late in the season against the odds the conditions were just fine and the staff as friendly as always. What a great resource you provide for the entire region!... Vollständige Bewertung

Love my local mountain. Reasonably priced season pass, excellent resort and food. Small hill, but with the best snowmaking anywhere. ... Vollständige Bewertung

As far as I am concerned, this is hands down the best mountain to learn how to ski/snowboard. I have taken so many friend to this place who have never been snowboarding before and I've been able to teach them the basics easily. The way the mountain is arranged places places a green trail right next to the bunny hill, so its super easy to "graduate" off the bunny hill to a green, and right next to a green is a short blue trail so once again its easy to improve your skills and try bigger challenges in a safe manner. Other good things: The terrain park is big, solid, and diverse. And also, the restaurant serves pretty decent food. Its also very close to philly. I get there in like an hour and that's super easy. Now, if you are an experienced snowboarder / skier that comfortably shreds black diamonds, then I recommend either Blue mountain or Camelback mountain. But if you are looking for just a fun day with friends who are still improving their skills, then you can't beat bear creak mountain. ... Vollständige Bewertung

Bear Creek is a great local hill. Not huge, but you can't beat the snowmaking coverage. The lodge is the best in PA. The hotel is like a resort. Been skiing here since the Doe Mt days in the 80s. Always great to come home. And this is the only local Nastar location. ... Vollständige Bewertung

Bear Creeek is the best of a bad situation. It's not a mountain but a large hill. Definitely a major improvement over the Doe Mtn days, but I only go here when I got get my snow fix and heading into the Pocono or NY isn't a option. Sunday night is the best time to go imo, with reasonable lift tickets $25, which given the size and crowds isn't a bad deal. Full price tickets are far to expensive considering you can snowboard or ski several mountains in the Pocono's which are a lot bigger in size, trails, drop, and lifts for the same price as Bear (ie. Bear $51 all day / Camelback $53 all day). ... Vollständige Bewertung
