Bolsterlang is a great ski resort for skiers of any experience, the runs are wide and if you don't go over school holidays they are virtually empty. The Allgau ski resorts are a very well kept local secret in Germany and haven't been taken over by the tourists (yet). I've been to Bolsterlang twice in early March and have 80 - 100cm of snow on the mountain and very rarely were the snow cannons on, the runs are a combination wide and enjoyable red and blue runs that weave through beautiful alpine forest at places. The resort is not that big so there aren't that many runs, but like me, if you go to the Allgau region and spend a day at each of the resort it's more than enough. The Apres ski is not that great, places like Balderschwang have better Apres ski but there are few 'pubs' scattered on the mountainside that will happily serve up famous German food and beer.
